a. How are clients referred to the Furniture Bank?
The Furniture Bank partners with over 100 agencies in the Atlanta area. These agencies screen
clients and refer them to the Furniture Bank. Clients are seen on a referral basis only.
b. Can someone use the Furniture Bank more than once?
No, clients can only use the Furniture Bank service once in a lifetime.
c. Is there a yearly fee to be a Furniture Bank referring agency?
No, there is no cost to become a Furniture Bank referring agency. However, agencies are required to
come to the Furniture Bank for an orientation to learn our policies and procedures and get the

d. Are there a minimum number of clients an agency has to refer in a year?
No, agencies can refer as many or as few clients in a year as they deem necessary.
e. What does a client typically receive from the Furniture Bank?
Clients are guaranteed a bed (mattress & box spring) for every member of their family
and a sofa. Other items are based on availability. On average clients receive 14 pieces
of furniture including a dresser, coffee table, bookshelf, night stands, easy chair,
dinette set, TV stand, household items, etc.
