Volunteer with The Furniture Bank
Volunteers play an important role in the Furniture Bank's work to provide furniture to individuals
and families in need. Whether you want to organize a furniture drive, work in the warehouse, help
clients shop, or work on special events the Furniture Bank offers meaningful and manageable ways to
be connected.
Individual volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of 20 service hours and must be 16 years
of age or older. If you are interested please complete the Volunteer Interest Form and return
it to the Furniture Bank at your earliest convenience so that we may schedule a time to meet for
a tour and orientation.
The Furniture Bank is a great place for groups to volunteer. Children above the age of 12 can
volunteer as part of a group as long as adult supervision is provided. Please contact the Volunteer
Coordinator to receive more information on project ideas, group sizes and time commitment. We can
custom fit a project to meet both your needs as a group organizer and benefit Furniture Bank
families. If you are interested in learning more or setting up at time for your group to
volunteer contact our Volunteer Coordinator at fb_anu@yahoo.com or 404-355-8530 ext. 223 and a
staff member will be in touch.
Collect furniture for families in need at your church, place of work or school. The Furniture
Bank will bring a truck to your location for a weekend as you collect the items from neighbors,
coworkers, or members of your congregation. Please contact our Donations Coordinator at 404-355-8530
ext. 222 or donations@furniturebankatlanta.org to learn more.
Help the Furniture Bank collect much-needed basic kitchen items for its clients. In addition to
needing furniture, Furniture Bank clients are often unable to afford essential household items
such as plates, glasses, and pots & pans. The Furniture Bank is looking for groups to collect and
box dishware, silverware, glassware, pots & pans, small appliances, and various other items to
serve 2-8 people. Please contact our Donations Coordinator at 404-355-8530 ext. 222 or
donations@furniturebankatlanta.org to learn more.
